New Procedure for Soil Samples

— Written By

This week the division rolled out a new version of its online report search utility (PALS). You can now enter and submit soil sample information electronically. After entering your sample information online, you must print a copy to submit with your samples, and it is also a good idea to save a copy to your computer for future reference.

Right now there is no fee associated with online submission. However, any submissions entered after 6 p.m., Wednesday, November 27th, will require prepayment of the $4-per-sample, peak-season fee via credit card (Visa or MasterCard). The peak season is from December 1 until March 31.

At the current time, online payment from an escrow account is not an option, but we hope to make this option available in the near future. For more information on payment via escrow, visit http://www.ncagr.gov/agronomi/pdffiles/escrow.pdf.
