Trails and Rails Oct 2015

Are you looking for some good clean fun for the entire family this fall? Then come to the Trails and Rails horse show on Sunday, October 11 with a raindate of October 25, 2015. The event will take place at Shooting Creek Arena, located at 1717 Old Hwy 64E in Hayesville. There is NO ADMISSION for spectators. Trails and Rails will provide concessions, as well as have a silent auction for a chance to win a Char Broil Advantage gas grill with 4 burners and an additional side burner for a pan or skillet.

The local 4-H horse club is sponsoring this event to raise funds for their club by offering an opportunity for people to compete and hone their horsemanship skills. Entrants will pay $5 per class or $25 for all classes. Trails and Rails 4-H will have concessions available beginning at 10:00 a.m. Competitors may sign-up beginning at 9:00 a.m. and show time is 10:00 a.m. All horses must have a Negative Coggins to enter and compete.

Trails and Rails youth are learning many life skills as they plan this event. They are learning about budgeting, scheduling, marketing, food safety, animal safety and much more.

This is the third annual show that our Clay County 4-H’ers have organized. Please come out and show your support for local youth by attending this event. While there, please eat lunch, have a beverage or have a snack. Concessions are part of how they are raising funds for the coming year’s programming. Don’t forget to participate in the silent auction for a new gas grill.
