Interested in having a few hives of honeybees but not sure exactly how to get started? The Appalachian Beekeeper’s Association is hosting a Basic Bee School!

  • When: Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 9:00 to 12:30
  • Where: Mountain Folk Center (~9 miles west of Murphy on US64)
  • Cost: $5/person or $10/family. Reservations requested but not required.

This Bee School is a quick crash-course intended to provide enough of an introduction to prepare you for getting started with honeybees and help you land on your feet when your bees first arrive.

Tri-County Community College is also offering a Beginning Beekeeping course through the Community Enrichment Dept. Please call 828-837-6810 for more information.
