Would you like to know how to garden more efficiently? Do you want to learn how to control all the diseases and pest of your favorite plant? Are you interested in sharing your knowledge with others? If those answers are yes you should become an Extension Master Gardener℠ Volunteer!

The Extension Master Gardener Volunteer program of Clay County is an educational program designed to enhance public education in the horticulture field. It provides educational programs to the citizens of clay county concerning lawns, fruits, vegetables, trees, and ornamentals through the utilization of a trained and supervised volunteer staff.

The Extension Master Gardener Volunteer course starts February 15, 2019. The fee for the program is $100 which includes the North Carolina Extension Gardener Handbook (the handbook will be given out on February 15th). Fees are due by February 1, 2019, which can be paid by cash or check(made to Clay County). Course limit is 25 participants.
