The N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center is hosting a babysitting workshop June 11-13, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This workshop is designed to give youth ages 11 to 14 basic skills to prepare them to care for younger children. The curriculum of the course covers five areas: Babysitting Basics, Best Practices, Babysitting Breakdowns, Best Behavior, and The Business of Babysitting.

At the conclusion, youth will receive a certificate that they can present to their future clients documenting completion of this training workshop. They will also receive business cards that will help them advertise their babysitting services. The cost of the workshop is $10.00 and includes a CPR class, handouts, and supplies. Lunch is not provided, so youth will need to bring a bag lunch each day. Space is limited so please do not delay registering for this workshop.

Registration by June 4, 2019, is required. You may register online at go.ncsu.edu/babysittingregistration or by contacting the office at 252-232-2262. Your registration is not complete until payment is received and 4-H forms are submitted. Complete forms at 4HOnline Forms. Payment may be made in person at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center or by mailing a check made payable to Currituck County to 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917.
