The Clay County 4-H organization is casting a line into new waters with the introduction of its latest club, the 'Clay on the Fly' fly fishing club. The Clay on the Fly club will convene on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month, creating bi-weekly opportunities for members to come together, share their love for fly fishing, and enhance their skills. The meeting location is set at the Clay County Board of Education meeting room, providing a central and accessible venue for participants. The club is open to any youth in Clay County who wish to learn more about fly fishing. The inaugural meeting is scheduled for October 12, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m., marking a momentous occasion for the local fly-fishing community.

Greg Charles, a dedicated angler with a wealth of knowledge and passion for fly fishing, has volunteered as the club's leader. Charles is excited about the prospects of the club and eager to welcome aspiring youth fly fishers.
