Collapse ▲Do you know a youth aged 11-14 who is interested in earning extra money or helping out friends by babysitting? Our newest 4-H spin club may be just the training they need to help them get started. Our “Babysitter’s Backpack” program will help youth learn basic baby care and development, how to be responsible for the care and safety of others, discipline strategies, basic First Aid and safety, and marketingtechniques for building a babysitting business. Participants will receive a certificate of training, but WILL not be First Aid or CPR certified.
This program will meet on Tuesday afternoons from 4-6 beginning on May 7 and concluding on June 4. We must have a minimum of five registered participants to hold the class, and it is limited to 15 participants. The cost to participate is $15 per youth for the entire five week program. Participants will leave with a backpack of supplies to start their new adventures in babysitting.
