About the Extension Master Gardener Program
Become a Clay County Master Gardener Volunteer
Programs we support in Clay County include:
- The Downtown Discovery Garden is a demonstration garden that showcases practical, research-based gardening practices while providing a welcoming space for the community to learn and gather. Visit the outstanding display of native plants as well as examples of raised beds with a variety of vegetables.
- Additional demonstration garden projects are located at the Mayor's Garden at Town Hall, Reach Center, Brasstown Community Center, and local schools.
- Grants to local organizations and food banks plus scholarships at Hayesville High School.
- After-school program for local children.
- Educational speakers for members and the general public.
- 2026 Spring Plant Sale - May 15-17
