Clay County Cooperative Extension was excited to participate in the Soil & Water Conservation Field Day, where we had the opportunity to work with local sixth graders!
Students learned about the importance of birds and their role in our environment and ecosystem, including how birds contribute to healthy ecosystems.
To make the lesson hands-on, students also made their own bird feeders to take home and help provide food for our feathered friends!
We love opportunities to get outside, learn about our natural world, and connect with the next generation of environmental stewards!
