Members of Clay County 4-H attended camp this summer at Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Camp in Reidsville, NC. During their five days of camping, they were able to experience many activities ranging from horseback riding, archery, rock wall climbing and of course lake activities.

Being around the lake whether it was swimming or canoeing, the campers practiced water safety by wearing life jackets. Even though most of the campers were great swimmers, all of them wore life jackets to be safe in the lake.

Another water safety, is staying hydrated during these hot summer days. The campers were able to get water at each station that had an activity. Some of the campers carried their own water bottles. Water was even served at each meal along with another beverage option.
