Annual Plant Sale

— Written By

How do you help children to become responsible adults? By planting seeds for them to be creative, independent, and compassionate. If you are not around children all the time, this can be a difficult task. However, 4-H creates experiences for children through clubs, summer programs, or school activities for these seeds of mastery, independence, and generosity to grow.

You can help 4-H in Clay County by purchasing a fruit plant through the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Clay County Annual Fruit Plant Sale. This year there are a variety of plants being sold such as apple, pear, peach, blueberry, blackberry, elderberry, and strawberry. To place an order, either print off the order form below or come by the office to pick one up. Then return the order form and payment either by mailing it to 25 Riverside Circle, Suite 2, Hayesville, NC 28904 or bringing it by the office. This plant sale will be from February 1 until March 13, 2020. You may pick your order up in the Community Room of the Community Services Building on April 1 after noon.

If you are unsure about planting fruit trees, there will be a class in the Community Room on April 6 at 1 p.m. To learn more about this class or to register visit go.ncsu.edu/claycounty.
